Breaking The Silence
Hi, ya'll! Sorry about the long delay in between
posts. There was a reason for it this
time.
I made it back safely from Italy, but my laptop died in transit. It was working when I spent the night in Memphis, but sometime during my last flight it just went kaput.
After sending it off to a repair service, I found out that the logic board was dying or dead. The repair service (I highly recommend iResQ for any problems you may have with Apple products) removed the hard drive and put it in a firewire case for me (much cheaper than the 900 dollars for a replaced logic board plus installation).
I now have a Macbook to replace the Powerbook... I've actually had it for a few weeks, but I couldn't update my blog until I was able to get the original stuff off the old hard drive, or I would risk losing everything. I'm still a little apprehensive, but everything SHOULD work.
I'm in Louisiana for the next six months, so hopefully there will be some Kitchen of the Troll entries, along with bunches of other stuff to talk about. Thanks for checking in!
