Violin & Viola Lessons

From the sacred melodies of the classical masters to down home country fiddle tunes, the violin is an instrument everyone notices. As the soprano of the string family, violins carry most of the melody in orchestral works. The viola is physically larger than the violin, has a lower range and a more mellow sound...it is the alto of the string section. Both instruments produce rich, lyrical and expressive tones.

We recommend students be 8 years old to start string lessons. We also welcome adult students.

Weekly lessons are available in 30-minute, 45-minute and 60-minute durations. All lessons are taught in our education facilities at First Baptist Church of Duluth, in Duluth, GA.

Need help in acquiring a viola or violin? Our teachers will be glad to advise you in purchasing or renting an appropriate student instrument.
