back in the land of the living 



I surely did not intend to go so long without making a blog entry. However, circumstances being what they have been, I am just now getting around to it. And this one will most likely be a little brief as I'm a bit busy this morning.

I had intended to make several entries while in Hong Kong and also in Japan. But once Yanyang joined me in HK, spare time to sit around typing on my laptop was just not available, and I figured that I could catch up once I arrived in Japan. Boy, was I wrong. The pace of my Japan tour was so hectic that I hardly knew what I was even doing each day. I got up very early each morning, rode around on a tour bus all day long and checked into a hotel (a different hotel each night, I might add) later than I would have liked. Also, one would expect that the supposedly most technologically advanced country in Asia would have reliable internet access in its hotels. Nope. So, I was not able to make a single entry while in Japan. When I returned home a few weeks ago, I fortunately did not experience any jet lag, but I did come down with a severe cold which quickly turned into bronchitis. I was laid up for more than a week, and I am only now feeling like I've made a full recovery. During that entire time while sick, I just didn't have the mental energy to blog.

So, I apologize, and I will be writing about my trip (and other recent events) in the very near future, as well as posting photo albums from HK and Japan. Your patience is appreciated.
