stay hungry, stay foolishI've got to say that I was extremely impressed
with the commencement speech given by Steve Jobs to the 2005 graduating class at
Stanford University earlier this month. It kind of sums up for me the reasons
why I'm making such a dramatic change in my life. Yes, I have a good job. Yes,
I'm making decent money. But I'm not doing what I love... and, to be honest, I'm
not even sure what that is yet. But I aim to find out, and I can't do that if I
continue doing what I'm doing.
From Jobs' speech: Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma--which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary. Such great wisdom coming from a man who never graduated from college. Amen, Brother Steve. You can read the transcript of Jobs' speech here. Enjoy. Today's Music: Batman Begins soundtrack--Hans Zimmer Posted: Mon - June 20, 2005 at 09:40 PM | |
