I, geek, Part 2

Yeah, I've been geeking out a lot lately in regard to Star Wars related topics. And I'll probably continue to do so up until the release of Episode III next month, so I hope everyone will bear with me.

I purchased the recently released Clone Wars animated shorts DVD last week. It is a definite must for any true Star Wars fan. The DVD contains the first 20 chapters, which can be viewed separately or all together, making one complete short animated film. The DVD also has some nice features, including a couple of nice "behind the scenes" featurettes, director's commentaries, art galleries, Episode III trailer (the first one, not the most recent), Ep. III video game trailer (which looks awesome) and a playable X-box demo of Republic Commando. The last five animated shorts were aired recently on Cartoon Network and lead directly up to the events in Episode III. Why these last five chapters were labeled "Volume 2" and not included on a complete Clone Wars DVD is really beyond me. Obviously, they'll release a Vol. 2 DVD eventually, but it seems strange that Vol. 1 contains 20 chapters with only 5 chapters in the second. But who can claim to understand the bizarre workings of George Lucas' mind? He did create Jar Jar after all. Dear God, please let Jar Jar get killed in Episode III. Amen.
