now that's what I'm talking about

I have to comment on the movie Saw. I just got around to watching it last night; I shirked it while it was in the theaters late last year. And, whereas I found The Ring Two to be unscary, Saw was delightfully chilling to the extreme. It immediately got my attention from the very first frames and didn't let go until the very last frame. In fact, the end left me wanting more. This is what a horror flick should be. I will say that there were times, in the middle of the movie, where I thought that maybe the story was losing its way, but the end took me by surprise... mostly. You see, about three-fourths of the way through, I thought to myself, "What if this were to happen?" But then I immediately dismissed my conclusion, thinking, "No, that's probably not it," and went back to following the line of thinking that the story wanted me to. Turns out I had been right, so I was only partly surprised by the end. But that's good enough for me. Being kind of surprised by a movie is a lot better than not being surprised at all. I enjoyed Saw thoroughly and would highly recommend it (if you like scary, disturbing movies--like I do). I was also happy that I picked the best time to watch it: 10PM at night (with all the lights off).
