Welcome to the Homepage of the Arthurs Music Department!
Boyd W. Arthurs Middle School is located south of Detroit in the Downriver community of Trenton, Michigan. Trenton Public Schools is an integral part of a community that takes great pride in the quality of education and experience it provides for its children. Music Education is a vital part of this experience.
The Trenton Music Department offers a variety of experiences. The Trenton Band program begins in the 5th grade where group and individual lessons are provided at each elementary school. At Arthurs Middle School, students are members of the 6th Grade Band, 6th Grade General Music, 7th Grade Band, 8th Grade Band as well as 7th Grade Chorus and 8th Grade Chorus. Students are also selected by audition for membership to the Arthurs MS Jazz Band. We are active members of the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association (MSBOA) and the Michigan School Vocal Music Association (MSVMA) where each year our students perform and receive the highest honors at District 12 Solo & Ensemble, Band & Orchestra and Choral Festivals.

The success of our music program is due to the hard work of the administration, the parents, the community, the educators, and most importantly, our students.
