Convert Text Files

This is a wrapper action for the textutil tool. It will convert any text file of the types Plain Text, Rich Text, Word (Doc and WordML), HTML and Safari Webarchives into any other type. It will pass on the resulting files for further processing.

Create Disk Image From Files

This Action will create a disk image filled with the files and folders from the previous action. Options include compression and encryption.

Limit Number of Items

This action will take any list of items. It will only pass through the given number of items. You can choose wether to pass the first, last or random items.

How to Install the Actions

When you click the Download you will get a .dmg file. When you double-click that it will mount like a disk. (Safari might open it automatically for you.) in that disk you will see a file ending with .action with an Automator icon. You can select "Import Action..." from the "File" Menu in Automator and choose the action file or manually move the action file to the Automator folder in your Library folder.
