STREET TEAM JOB DESCRIPTION

We need you to hand out our CD samplers to people in your neighborhood. It is important however, that the people that you hand out these samplers to will be interested in the music our band performs. In short, we don't want to waste your time and our CDs. It's a bit like spamming. It doesn't do anyone any good. What works effectively is reaching a targeted demographic. As somebody who has an appreciation for music, we are sure that you have a good idea already what friends of yours might like our music. They should be your first port of call. Secondly, we want you to go to venues in your neighborhood where bands somewhat similar to ours our performing, and hand out our samplers to folks coming in and out of the club.

Next we want you to go to large concerts and do the same. The more "targeted" fans you can get to in one swoop the better. It is up to you where you hand out these samplers but please keep in mind that it will not help us if you give away CDs to just anyone. Please make sure that the shows you go to are attended by people that you are sure would like our music. Also, please do not hand out samplers inside the auditorium. We do not want anyone getting in trouble with security! Stay outside and hit on fans walking in and out.

Before you hand out any samplers, you should write your own street team reference number on each sampler that you give out.

The reason for this is that the sampler CD contains music, links and a video urging people to subscribe at our website at www.oliomusic.com When they add their contact info, they are prompted to add your street team ref # on the CD you gave them. This is our way to track your progress. We want to reward you well when you deliver. The more subscribers you deliver, the more we want to reward you. We want to expand our fanbase and the best way we know how to do this is to have new people subscribe on our website so we have their info to contact regarding upcoming shows and so on.

Alternatively, you can personally collect names and fill out the new contacts form with your own ref #. Should you choose to do this, you must collect the following data:

1) First Name
2) Last Name
3) Email Address
4) City, State and Country

Other optional street team member promotional ideas:

Capitalize on radio listener parties.
From time to time radio stations put on events to promote their company names. They call them "listener parties". Usually, they are free outdoor events, sometimes in a mall, where thousands of music fans show up to see live bands perform and generally hang out and enjoy the day. The event of course is promoted heavily on the radio station and usually there are one or two sponsors involved. These radio listener parties are a fantastic place for street teams to pass out samplers. You just need to find out when and where they are. Check out the radio station that plays the kind of music you like and go to their website. They will always announce when the next radio listener party will be held.

Radio call-ins
We want you to champion us at your local radio station. If we are receiving airplay there, we need you to call in and request our single. Please be courteous! Don't go crazy as the call ins should be genuine.

Retail
We need you to check on retail stores in your city. If we are stocked, let us know. If we are not stocked, mention it to the manager and try to persuade them to take a few units. Sometimes they will even put a band they like on their listening station. If you feel comfortable, ask if they would do that for you.

Unofficial websites
Feel free to start and promote an unofficial website about our band. Should you wish to use any text info or photos, please contact our webmaster at webmaster@oliomusic.com

Bulletin boards
You are welcome to post messages to any internet forums on one condition; that you are there to have conversations with others and you frequent those sites. We do not condone spamming and frankly it is a complete waste of your time and energy.

If at any time you wish to leave our street team program, please unsubscribe by sending email to unsubscribe_st@oliomusic.com so we can remove you from our list. Should you have any ideas you wish to implement as well as our own set forth above, please contact arif@oliomusic.com as we are only too happy to review your ideas. Many thanks for joining and we hope to see you very soon.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please read our rules and regulations thoroughly:

1) We reserve the right to remove or ban any street team member who is unruly or disruptive. Your actions as a member of the team are a direct reflection of the band and we will immediately terminate our relationship with you should we hear of such behaviour. At all times you should be courteous and behave responsibly as you are ostensibly acting as a "promotional rep" in your neighborhood. How others perceive you is in effect how those people perceive us as a band. It is our responsibility to keep activities running in a positive and professional manner.

2) As a member of our street team you are expected to report to our team leaders regularly. We want to know how the band is doing in your area with regards to air play, recognition, and visibility in record stores where our music is sold. To report, simply send us an e-mail at STReports@oliomusic.com or call our team leader. You should report to us at least once a month unless we have a particular task which requires more immediate correspondence.

3) If you haven't already joined the street team click here to do so.
