OLIO, UNIVERSAL AMPHITHEATRE & TIGER'S
First of all, thank you for coming out to see Olio perform last
Saturday 10/2/04 at the Universal Amphitheatre opening the night
for DL Hughley. I wasn’t able to thank all of you personally and
I want you to know your support is greatly appreciated. Your love
and energy was fantastic. We had a great time with you!! Special
thanks to Lisa from Star Baby who introduced us to Jake, who booked
Olio. Jake loved our show and is opening the right doors for us
to secure dates at the House of Blues in Hollywood. Stay tuned...
Our next concert is on Saturday, October 23rd at Tiger’s Lyrics
& Java. Tiger’s is a newly opened CD Store/Coffee House, located
in Chino, with the best flavored java in southern California.
The owner, Kevin George, is a good friend of ours and has created
such an incredible atmosphere of warmth, love and positive energy
for patrons and artists alike. He’s bringing high quality, live
music back to the community. Tiger’s is an environment where the
perfect blend of live music and specialty coffee come together
to make it a night to remember. We want to help grow his presence
and support him for supporting great live music. Legendary guitarist
Paul Jackson, Jr. (guitarist for Michael Jackson, Luther Vandross,
Celine Dion, Ray Charles and a string of successful solo albums)
performed there a couple months ago to a standing room crowd that
brought the house down. We want to help continue this new tradition,
show our support and pack the house. We need you on Saturday,

DEHAVEN BREAKS WRIST, SHOW GOES ON
Crazy thing happened this week. Drummer, DeHaven, fractured several
bones in his left wrist on Monday playing basketball. He's out
of commision for a minimum of 6 weeks up to 3 months. Ouch!! So
now what? Well, the show must go on. A replacement drummer will
sit in and DeHaven will join Arif and Debbie up front and will
rock the house! He'll sing, play electronic percussion with his
right hand and hype the crowd. He's a fireball of energy, especially
being a hard hitting pocket drummer, the Hard Rock won't know
what hit them. That's right, Olio is set to rock the Hard Rock
Cafe in La Jolla, CA this Saturday night on June 26th at 9:30pm!

OLIO DONATES TO CHOC
Olio is set to perform at the CHOC - Children’s Hospital of Orange
County Follies Cast party on Saturday night March 27, 2004. The
CHOC Foundation for Children is presenting CHOC Follies VIII Blast
Through the Past, a musical time travel trip to benefit Children’s
Hospital of Orange County CA. “Olio is honored to be able to donate
their gift of music and be a part of such a wonderful event that
is a direct benefit to such a wonderful cause” says Greg Rhea,
the band’s manager. The CHOC Follies VIII features an all-star
cast of Orange County’s Business, Social and Civic Leaders in
a Riotous Original Musical guaranteed to keep you laughing. The
Follies, founded by Executive Producer Gloria Zigner, is co-chaired
by Leslie Cancellieri, Sandy Segerstrom Daniels and Dale Skiles.
Olio will be providing the evenings musical entertainment for
the party and closing out the sold out show. |

Olio rocked the Hard Rock Café in Newport Beach, CA to a standing
crowd in January 2004 giving fans the excitement audiences rarely
find in today’s music. Olio’s performance was so riveting that
the band has been invited back to perform on the world famous
stage Friday March 12, 2004 at 9:30 pm. The night’s entertainment
will include Olio with special guest, The Dre Allen Project featuring

Airplay in Costa Rica
"Based on reports from most of the stations I can tell you that
your songs Gift of a Smile and Symptoms of You are receiving the
most airplay to date. Radio Corredores has a saturday afternoon
show that has been playing your music every week, it caters to
a young audience of mainly high school students and 20 somethings
and has the biggest listenership of all of its programs. The host
Bridgette tells me to thank you personally. She is very proud
of this exclusive music she is introducing to Costa Rican listeners
and is grateful that artists such as yourself take her station
into account. Ronald the director of the ICER just gave me a letter
from several students and a teacher at the local high school in
Corredores that thanked and congratulated the station on its new
high quality music programming. That thanks must be extended to
you for helping to make this project a reality. The only other
station in Costa Rica that can compare to these community stations
in terms of high quality eclectic programming is the U of Costa
Rica station. Another big thanks comes from the Radio Nicoya,
Radio Talamanca, Los Chiles,Turrialba and La Cruz that have been
avidly spinning your CD. Talamanca is hard to talk to or visit
personally as it is about 7 hours from San Jose and is basically
in the middle of the rainforest and on top of all that has only
one phone serving the town. However because of their isolation
they appreciate being part of this project probably more than
the other stations even if they cannot express it all the time."
