Selecting a paving material can be daunting to some. The idea is to find a look and feel that suits both you and your home. For instance, is there any stone work on or around your property? If so, try to incorporate that style or stone type into your patio design. We often look to a home's architectural style for inspiration or direction. An outdoor space should be considered an extension of your home. Many customers already have ideas about materials and patterns and where their interests lie. A good place to start looking for materials is at your local landscape supply yard. They should have at least a small collection of brick or natural stone and may be able to offer some advice on other local stone sources. The internet is also a great tool for researching materials. Especially if you're looking for historical stone paving as we often do.
