07/13/2006: "Illustration Friday: Skyline"

skyline (33k image)
an illustration in fabric for i-friday. i haven't done an i-fri in quite a while, but since danielle's suggested theme was the topic this week, i just had to do something. i have had this image in my mind ever since i found the batik fabric with the little squares. they just look like windows to me. bag is made from hand-dyed-by-me cotton, a batik print and a little embroidery.

Thanks for the comment. I always like how you are able to use patterns and fabric to create you illustrations, they always turn out amazing. smile

Really beautiful. Reminds me of my favorite colors in a sunset. What size is the bag?

it is about 7 by 9 inches, give or take. the strap is about 45 inches long - designed to be worn over one shoulder and diagonally across to rest on one hip.
