12/06/2005: "old and new"

machines (15k image)
these are new in my etsy shop! inspired by the sewing machine show-and-tell, i made some little christmas ornaments with new and vintage sewing machines. they are foundation pieced and about 1 1/2" square. yes, that is tiny! also new robot magnets coming soon to the shop. they are sculpted but not baked yet.

are these becka original patterns or did you dig them out somewhere?

original patterns, i made them up myself. designing foundation pieced patterns is an interesting challenge. you layer the pieces and stitch them on overlapping, so you have to draw them in such a way that you can accomplish that.
