12/10/2004: "Illustration Friday: Security"

security (25k image)
very late in the day, but still friday.

this is a departure from the norm for me. this one was sketched entirely on the computer, using my wacom tablet. usually i like to work on paper, but it's been a crazy week and the wacom called to me.

my little sister used to get lonely when i would fall asleep first and everything was quiet, so she would creep downstairs where she could hear voices. she would fall asleep on the stairs with her "wilk" (quilt). the topic "security" made me think of "blanket" which made me think of "wilk".

I loved it when I had to fish her out of the vanity in the bathroom with wilk. No pictures of that one, but there is photo documentation of the stair sleeper. smile
