The most important unit of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul is the local conference. Usually associated with a parish, the local conference members are the ones who visit the poor, provide help with food, housing, bills, job searches and other assistance. The other levels of the Society (district, archdiocese, regional, national and international) are organized to provide assistance and support to the local conference.

Most of the towns in our district are blessed with an active conference, and we want very much to see every parish in our area blessed with a conference of the Society, echoing the hopes expressed by Pope Paul VI many years ago.
