A `lil piece of `eye-fye heaven, Part II

General notes & observations

• It seems I find Antony Michaelson's ears and the sonic characteristics of his Musical Fidelity brand to be most agreeable. I am now firmly rooted in his camp of hi-fi components. Neutral and "musical" sounding components whose hallmarks seem to be extended bandwidth, excellent technical specifications/performance, high resolution, precise soundstaging, dynamics, dynamic reserve and impressive bass control. These are refined pieces of audio reproduction gear that in hi-fi terms, is a bargain.

• I have moved the system to a more favorable room placement. Still not ideal (small room, less than optimal dimensions & placement) but the excessively muddy bass and seems to have largely disappeared.

• I have listened to a fair number of 2-channel systems of varying price ranges and I can honestly say I no longer just have a taste of the high-end. With this revamping of my audio rig, I have taken a big bite out of that proverbial high-end apple.

May you also have much listening enjoyment. No matter the price point of your components and no matter what the musical genre.
