“Discovery consists of seeing what everybody has seen and thinking what nobody has thought.”
Albert Szent-Gyorgyi - The Scientist Speculates
The annosphere will be exhibited again at the Cambridge Science Festival, which runs this year from April 24 through May 2, 2010. You'll also be able to see the annosphere at the Cambridge Open Studios on May 22 and 23, 2010.

If you’re not in Cambridge for either festival, you can read more about the project at the Long Now website. If you have, or are willing to have Java installed on your computer, you can run an interactive demonstration of the annosphere gearing.

If you’re intrigued by what the annosphere offers, please send email to

The annosphere is currently being used as a teaching tool. Please write if you have any ideas or suggestions for how the annosphere can be presented.
