Welcome to our classroom website! I'm Annette Abadi, a third grade teacher at Deer Canyon Elementary School in the Poway District. I strive to ignite in each and every student a love for reading that will last a lifetime!
Many people believe that with the upcoming age in technology the need for reading and writing will fall by the wayside. Although I am a firm believer that everyone needs to become computer literate I also believe that we need to continue to instill the need and love for reading and writing in our children.
Students entering the adult world during this century will read and write more than any population in human history, according to the Adolescent Literacy Commission.
It is my hope that you will enjoy viewing some of the activities that take place in Room 15.
