Karl is O.K.! |
 |
 |
Dear all,
A short email to say that we have just gotten the word from the neurosurgeon that Karl is out of OP, and they were able to reattach his skull--note, *his* skull, so they didn't need to use an artificial one! He did not have the drainage tube inserted, but rather a shunt. Good news, by all means. The little boy will be sedated for the evening, and will hopefully have his breathing tube (necessary for the surgery) removed in the a.m. Dad, whose praises I sing every day for his willingness to stay with me overnight at the hospital, will be there alone tonight, because my sweet Else has a fever and a cold. For her sake and for Karl's, she ought not be at the hospital. I will get up bright eyed tomorrow, and hopefully see his bright eyes looking back at me.
Thanks for your prayers, and I will give you more info as I have it.
Peace,
Anna
