Author: Stan Hugill
Publisher: Mystic Seaport Museum
Genre: Sea Chanteys
Release: Jan 1994 My Rating: 5
Summary: Indeed. This book is an amazing piece of documentation, thankfully collected and published in such a detailed, well-researched form, prior to the complete extinction of the last generations to posess this knowledge. If only unexpurgated (and so - use your imagination!), this tome would be the sinlge necessary piece of a shantyman's collection. That single fact is usually the case, which begs the question: censorship? why? Is this not our heritage?
