Congratulations to Vicentia who, not
long ago didn't know how to use a camera, yet today she has some of her works
hanging in a group exhibition about the Orochen, a tribe that lives in remote
forests of Inner Mongolia.
Vicentia asked
me to teach her the basics of photography and although I had some doubts at the
beginning, I am now very happy that I did, as I really like her work. Along with
3 other photographers, she visited the Orochen twice in a bid to document their
life before their culture vanishes, thanks to encroaching modern civilzation
which is reducing their forests and luring the younger members to give up their
traditional way of life. Vicentia is very passionate about this cause and that
is a good thing, but I do see that she is also very passionate about photography
and I am sure she is "going places" with it.
Well done Vicentia and keep up the good
work!
