CHRISTMAS, RETURN OF THE PRODIGAL SON?




ST. CATHARINES

2006 marks the 25th year since I started wondering around the world, well mostly around Asia actually. It has become my custom to celebrate Christmas with my family back in Canada. Although I have missed a few back in the early 90's, I've been quite reliable in coming back every year and spending a couple of weeks in St. Catharines, Ontario.

It is a peaceful time and it is great to be amongst family members after a whole year. It always makes me happy to keep the family spirit going, yet I often get sad when I see the younger ones grow up so fast and the older ones getting older.

25 years, that's a quarter of a century! One of these days the meaning of this is going to sink in.
