The day 'Toronto Lost It's Innocence'.....
Toronto
I
have travelled into all manner of places which may be considered 'dangerous',
however, I never expected that Yonge street, one block north of the Eaton Centre
would be one of these places.
On the
busiest shopping day of the year, when the sidewalks are full of shoppers, a
shooting spree breaks out and 7 bystanders get gunned down, a 15 year old girl
lost her life. I happened to cross the street only minutes before and was in the
shop (SAM) right across from where the incident took place. I heard the shots
and someone yelled 'everyone on the floor, now!'. We all hit the deck.
As the police spokesman aptly put it in
his news update: "today is the day Tornoto lost it's innocence".
