Burgoyne's
The Burgoyne's originally came from Ireland. They then moved t0 Kilmarnock. Some of the family moved to Glasgow where some of them remained, whilst other's returned to Kilmarnock. In the 1920's several of the family emigrated to Canada.
1st Generation
Patrick Burgoyne married Margaret Scott. Margaret was born circa 1812 in Caledon, County Tyrone, Ireland. Patrick and Margaret had 1 child:

Margaret married Joseph Straiton. Margaret and Joseph had 1 child:
Joseph b circa 1840 m 1st 1860 2nd 1879 d 1885 (see Straiton page).
Margaret at the time of her death in 1855 was married to Peter McGuire.
2nd Generation
Peter Burgoyne married Annie Murphy in 1852 in Kilmarnock. Annie was born circa 1833, her parents are unknown. Peter and Annie had 10 children:

Margaret married Thomas Paton in 1876 in Kilmarnock. Thomas was born circa 1855, his parents were John Paton and Agnes Burgess. Margaret and Thomas had 2 children:

Following Thomas's death Margaret married David McKirdy in 1889 in Glasgow. David was born in 1854 in Largs, his parents were John McKirdy and Catherine Leitch. Margaret and David had 1 child:

Joseph married Jean McCallum in 1885 in Glasgow. Jean was born in 1865 in Glasgow, her parents were Donald McCallum and Mary McKinlay Black. Joseph and Jean had 12 children:

Martha married John McEwan in 1891 in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire. John was born in 1870 in Newmilns, Ayrshire, his parent's were William McEwan and Catherine Lynch. Martha and John had 1 adopted child and 6 children:

John married Mary Russell in 1903 in Loudoun, Ayrshire. Mary was born circa 1881, her parents were Thomas Russell and Margaret Campbell.

Richard married Jean Gowans in 1916 in Glasgow. Jean was born circa 1891, her parents were William Gowans and Mary-Ann Fowler.
