| The Indiana Jones Adventure opened in Disneyland in 1995. The attraction is based on the popular Indiana Jones trilogy of movies by Steven Speilberg and produced by Lucasfilm Inc. The basis of the attraction is that Dr. Indiana Jones has discovered the Temple of the Forbidden Eye, and it is now open for tourists to view. In the queue of the attraction which is an interesting part of the attraction you travel to the boarding area, but first you must navigate flooded mazes, spike rooms, and some other not nice things. The ride itself is on a 12 passenger "jeep" or desert style vehicle. Your tour through the Temple of the Forbidden Eye takes you through many of the traps and obstacles that were presented in the movies. Some of the obstacles you must pass are rooms filled with snakes or spiders, a hallway of blow guns where darts are shot at you and your fellow passengers, also you must navigate around the rolling ball like the one found in the original movie. Overall this is a very exciting ride and combines elements of dark rides, high speed and magic motion like Star Tours. This is a not to be missed attraction. |
