| The Carousel of Progress was the first "stage show" where the stages stay in one place, and the audience moves. The attraction is an exhibit of the progress of people since the early 1900's to slightly into the future. Your theater moves around as you follow the advances in "better living" by a typical family. The attraction was originally made for the New York Worlds Fair, then moved to Disneyland. When Walt Disney World opened, the Carousel of Progress was moved here from Disneyland. This attraction is entertaining, and a great place to cool off on a hot day (lots of those in Orlando), or just a place to rest your weary feet and be entertained and educated. |
