Professional Experience

7/2006 - Present • Grey San Francisco • San Francisco, CA – Studio Manager
At Grey San Francisco, my primary responsibility is managing our integrated Production Studio. I supervise a team of five Studio Artists ensuring that our deliverables stay on schedule, while meeting the highest possible standards.
Our group incorporates a broad range of skill-sets spanning the disciplines of print, online, and video production. Additionally, we are often called upon to provide support to the Creative Department when they face narrow bandwidth.
It is my job to stay on top of all agency projects and solve potential production complications before my team begins work. To this end, it is essential that I keep clear and friendly lines of communication open with each department. I participate daily in strategies to fine-tune our methods and help to guarantee the success for our clients, be they current or prospective.
Some recent accomplishments include the development and implementation of an agency-wide digital asset management system, being named “2006 Rookie of the Year”, and routinely bending time and space to stay on deadline.

5/2001 - 7/2006 • Overstreet Associates • Hayward, CA – Art Director
Overstreet is a boutique agency that provides customized print media for national brands such as Hyatt, Comcast, Wall Street Journal, Quiznos and Round Table Pizza. Our Design Department was support for a small sales staff. Among our challenges was to supply fresh marketing solutions to our existing clients, while providing creative sales tools to secure new business.
During my tenure at Overstreet, I created new standardized products that we developed into programs for our clients. In most cases we persuaded the clients to commit a portion of their marketing budget to monthly press runs utilizing these products. Many of these products are still in use today and I am told yield above average customer response rates.
I improved our workflow process by implementing a standardized on-line Work Order system that feeds a searchable database. This allowed us to track billable hours and accurately cost them to the appropriate projects.

10/2000 - 4/2001 • Computer Security Institute • San Francisco, CA – Production Coordinator
As a temporary Production Coordinator for CSI, I produced and customized the Frontline newsletter for over 90 clients. Other duties included the design and production of conference collateral, as well as the coordination of mailings and press runs.

5/1999 - 9/2000 • Camel Rock Casino • Santa Fe, NM – Senior Designer
I was hired to build a productive in-house Art Department for a casino and music venue. This involved purchasing the necessary equipment and hiring a Junior Designer. Our work consisted of concert posters, collateral, advertising, and signage for the casino and its two satellite enterprises. I produced many of these materials from our 72” large format printer.

4/1998 - 5/1999 • Professional Business Assistants • Santa Fe, NM – Graphic Designer

I was responsible for the design of collateral and advertising as well as large format print production. I coordinated projects with clients and printers to ensure quality products.

10/1996 - 4/1998 • Artisan/Santa Fe Inc. • Santa Fe, NM – Graphic Designer
Artisan is a small chain of art supply stores. I was responsible for the layout, design, and production of the national mail-order catalog and advertising materials.
