So.
In high school I bought Macromedia Fontographer. Cool program; shame MM let it die a slow painful death at version 4.1. I took a 1.44-MB floppy to school and scanned my handwriting to a 600dpi b/w bitmap (the highest resolution and color depth I could fit on the floppy). The scans were too low-res for Fontographer's auto-trace to handle well, so Josh and I spent several afternoons converting selections to paths in Photoshop, tweaking the results, and pasting the paths into Fontographer. I spent the rest of junior year obsessively tweaking in Fontographer and adding obscure characters, then posted AndrewScript 1.5 or some such to a bunch of Mac software archives. Some people liked it and sent me the optional $2.53 donation; some people liked it and missed the joke and sent me real money; some people liked it kept it a secret; some people didn't like it; some people didn't even download it! Maybe you belong to that last batch. Maybe you regret not downloading it. Maybe you want to make up for past ills. This is where you do that.
AndrewScript 1.6 (Windows, zipped)
So.
David Geiger liked AndrewScript and wanted a font of his own. So he put felt-tipped marker to paper and I, after blowing it off for a couple years and acquiring a scanner, cranked out Geiger 1.0 with Fontographer (4.1 of course) and Photoshop 5. Things went smoother because Photoshop 5 lets you move a selection box (huge time-saver) and I had scans at a resolution Fontographer could handle. So I copied, pasted, autotraced, and emailed David his font. I never posted it to Mac software archives. Just because. So maybe that makes you sad. Maybe you have always wanted an incomplete font in David Geiger's handwriting. Well, look no further.
So.
Mike Beckstein, my best-dressed friend at GCC, has the world's coolest handwriting after a certain Suzi whose last name I will tactfully omit since experience tells me girls you knew marginally in school would rather not find themselves on your homepage. I hit him up for samples, cranked out Michael Robin Caps in a week or so, and never posted it because it needed some tweaks and a few more characters from Mike. But I will never finish it so maybe we should just move on, eh? And maybe you have always wanted an incomplete font in Mike Beckstein's handwriting. I know I have. (Mike's middle name starts with R. Can anyone guess it?)
Michael Robin Caps 0.0 (Mac .sit--if this gives you download problems, let me know. Also if you downloaded the Mac version before Wed, Feb. 19 and thought "what a poopy font," that's because I generated that version from a backup without realizing how "backup" it was. But I found a newer copy sitting around so...)
Michael Robin Caps 0.0 (Windows, raw .TTF--if this gives you download problems, let me know...)
So.
I think "So." is probably plagiarism unless I credit Matt. You should call him Matthew though. He's very particular about that.
