Lindesay Electric is the brand name of Andrew Lindesay's <> software products and technologies. You can find my contact details in the banner of the various pages on this website. My primary business activity is the architecture and development of successful medium and large-scale software systems for organisations in the Australasian region under the brand Silvereye.
In the mid 1990's, whilst at university, Andrew became very interested in object-oriented technology from NeXT Computer and then post university, he worked for a firm called OneVision in the field of 2D media production where he acquired an in-depth understanding of the NeXTSTEP architecture and frameworks which were to later form the basis for Apple's MacOS X platform as well as WebObjects. From 2000, Andrew moved into the field of business software systems using the java / WebObjects infrastructure. He is now architecting and constructing projects around the WebObjects frameworks as well as web-browsers. For his customers who are utilising the MacOS-X platform in their business or product-range, Andrew is able to offer a very high level of software-enginering service around this platform as well; including integration with WebObjects server systems.
Andrew lives and works in the city of Auckland in New Zealand. His office is on Karangahape Road in the central business district.
Besides engaging in software engineering, Andrew enjoys modern architecture, art, micro brewed beer, squash and the New Zealand environment amongst other things. He is also a fan of the artist Len Lye.
Andrew holds a BSc in computer science from the University of Auckland and also passed the Mittlestufe Prüfung in the German language from the Göthe Institute.
