11.14.05: Halloween leftovers
The leftover candy may be long gone, but we still have some leftover snapshots from Halloween.

I have attempted to take photos of Mason and Avery together several times recently. Most attempts are futile and I'm unable to get the shot I am hoping for. This is why. Usually, Avery is paying close attention, watching the camera, sitting still, occasionally smiling and just basically being a well behaved subject. However, Mason is inevitably way too preoccupied with his hands or his feet or something else going on around him to even sit still for a couple clicks of the shutter button. |

| Avery's face is looking fuller and healthier all the time. His color and complexion have also improved. On top of all that, he is showing us more and more expressions every day! | ||

LEFT: Avery enjoys playing with his ghost rattle (thanks Polly!) and he also shows what a good sport he is during "dress rehearsal". RIGHT: Mason hangs out with Jenni. Who's Jenni, you ask? She plays the role of chief bottle washer, formula mixer, bottle filler, sleep inducer, spit-up wearer, laundry expert, baby signs teacher, distributor of meds and breathing treatments, book reader, doggie helper, photographer's assistant, and creator of the Jenni Monster. On her own time, she has also proven herself to be a great cook, baker, pumpkin carver (see photo), baby book finder, half marathoner, and can't forget ... grad student. Oh, and she's also Mason's first girlfriend since he left the NICU (don't tell Eliot!). Jenni has been with us since before Avery came home and helps us out primarily with Mason, but gets more and more involved with Avery as time goes on. We're not sure what we'd do without her. |
