And now for your entertainment
Saturday brought us Cady's very first official dance
recital, the Spring Showcase 2007. Cady was able to
perform in several different dances. *proud parent
bragging moment* Note that Cady looks much younger
than the other girls in her group. Well, Cady is the
youngest, and was the only girl in her age group
asked to perform in the event with the girls from the
next class up. Certainly she needs work, but she is
young to be pressing details, and I only care that
she truly loved the dance.
Sadly, as you will see (or have seen) on the video
that during her second performance, her headband went
down, and her OCD kicked in as any 2 year old girl
can, and she missed out on a larger part of her
favorite of the dances, but she loved it, and showed
a lot of promise for future dances.
We're very proud, and I think you will enjoy the
video.

She likes to move it
She definitely likes to
dance. This past weekend we had a chance to see just
how much she has learned in her dance classes at
school. This particular performance offered a lot of
distractions not terribly conducive to a 2 year old's
attention span, but it was still a great opportunity
to see that she can definitely follow direction. She
had an absolutely wonderful time, and talked about
dancing all day long, both before and after her
performance.
We have an upcoming official performance at the local
community college, on stage and in full. I'm really
anxious to get that on film.
In this video clip, the first session is the "back
stage" practice before the performance. It's not in
this video, but Cady went right in line with the
older "blue" girls, and started performing with them.
Karen had to tell her to wait for the other pink
girls. She didn't know the blue girls routine, but
she was right in there like a star.
During the first clip, she's on the viewers
left/center, and performing most of the moves with
accuracy. Well, like I said, most of them anyway.
Then she moves to the far right side. - Her own
choreographed move.
While we were waiting for her troop to perform, (in
the middle clip) she just had to keep practicing
while with Karen. We got a big giggle out of that.
When she actually performed the debut dance, outside,
(the final and third clip), Cady was on the opposite
end, to our far right of the video picture. It's
sometimes difficult to tell her apart from her good
friend Isabella, but Cady has her hair up and
isabella doesn't. It's difficult to see her at times
over on the right corner, but we're so proud of our
tiny dancer. She's the youngest one there, and at
least 6 months younger than the next youngest in the
troop (Isabella).
And now for your viewing pleasure (and a chance to
show off a fun little video app), our star..
