Birthdays
Birthday Cheer
10/25/09 13:30
Yesterday, we celebrated Cadence’s 5th
birthday. The group of friends who came to celebrate
have been together since they were all in diapers.
Which (sigh) wasn’t long ago in my eyes, but
was forever ago in my daughter’s life.
We’re so glad that all of her best friends were able to attend the birthday celebration.
Here’s to another year of friends, fun, and wonderful memories.

Well it’s certainly a little late, but the
birthday weekend went through with no issues and lots
of fun. I’ve added a
Birthday
page at the top for photos, and also have video
available.
This time the video will be much longer than supported by YouTube (19 minutes!), so I have it set to a different spot. Quicktime for Mac or Windows needed to view..

Birthday girl
10/27/07 21:31
So, yesterday the Princess of Cady-World turned three
years old. We stretched out the birthday celebration
over the past two days. She had cupcakes at her
preschool on Friday. Then today, we went back to her
preschool for a Halloween festival, then back to our
house with a small birthday party shared with a close
friend, and my adult son. Both of whom she adores.
Last year, Cady had a birthday tiara that finally broke about a month ago. And this year, it was replaced by two others (just in case one of them breaks this year, we have a back-up now). Well, aparently, both of them are a huge success, because she wore them as often as she could for both days.
One of her birthday presents was a Fisher Price digital camera. The camera uploads to a computer just like any other digital camera. It actually takes decent pictures too. Scott is in the process of starting Cady's picture web page for her. You can view the first of her photo adventures here, at Cady's Picture Pages. Especially cute from the pictures that she took today, were all of the 'feet shots' in the back of the car on the ride home from the festival. It's a glimpse of seeing the world thru Cady's perspective.
Another present that was a hit was a kitchen set. In the pictures we have with her playing with the kitchen, they almost look like she's in a real kitchen. While she was playing with it, she brought out a stuffed turtle and started saying that she was making 'turtle soup' After she made some pretend soup, and put the turtle's head on a plastic bowl, we realized that the turtle soup was actually....soup for the turtle. Until then, I was actually wondering why she wanted to cook her turtle.
Here are some highlights of both days:
