Nationwide Insurance and the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation (OFBF) have worked together to serve Ohio citizens since 1925 when Nationwide was founded in Columbus, Ohio as the Farm Bureau Mutual Automobile Insurance Company. The company opened for business with a three-person staff and 20 volunteer agents in April 1926, and initially sold auto insurance to Ohio farmers. In 1955, the company adopted its current name.
Nationwide Health Plans and the OFBF developed MyHealth PPO Choice, a series of individual health plans, for OFBF members.
