I just happened to see this...



I just happened to be coming out of Prospect Park this afternoon and heard lots of police sirens going off. I saw this procession passing in front of me and realized what was going on.

Councilman James Davis was killed in City Hall last week and this was his funeral passing before me on the way to Greenwood Cemetery and that was the hearse. He was in there.

Sometimes news events seem so distant; I hear them on the news or read about them in the paper. When I saw this I realized just how close to home these events really are.
