Activities > Choirs

There has long been an Audlem Methodist Choir. Led by John Owen, it rehearses on Sunday evenings from 7.45 pm. Each Christmas it leads two carol concerts to raise money for NCH. Each Spring it sings extensively in the worship on Choir Sunday. The Choir also contributes on other occasions, especially at the festivals. On recent Choir Sundays, the Choir has sung Stainer's Crucifixion (2005), Faure's Requiem (2006) and Handel's Messiah (2007).

A Junior Choir was formed in 2005. Its first engagement was at the Autumn 2005 circuit service. It then sang at a remembrance service, a christingle service, NCH carol concerts and two village services of lessons and carols. Known as 'Arabesc', it then sang 'Jonah-Man Jazz' at the 2006 Circuit summer event, followed by a selection of specially written Christmas songs at the YCMC-led Christmas Eve service. 'Arabesc' is led by Naomi and Toby Newman.
