August 13, 2005 TFTC! Saw crayfish burrows on edge of nearby pond. Don't know what particular type, but was surprised to see they lived this far north. Haven't seen these creatures since I lived in Illinois, MANY years ago. Giant water bug attacked the strap of my GPSr when I dangled it in front of it. Funny. The bug attacked a dozen times or more and never learned or gave up on getting a meal. Instinct made it attack whatever moved within it's range. Way too many people in RV's "camped" on other side of river. Too nothing. Left golfball. We are Team Crazy4!
