Bradley Park IIAugust 17, 2005 Took Geo-pin, left Dragonfly windchime. I don't see any mention here of the unique geology of this spot. This has got to be one of the neatest eskers around! As you walk the entire length, think about how this glaciel feature was created; a streambed laid down in the melting glacier at the end of the last ice age. A really special place! The park entrance is not well marked. The esker extends a LONG ways into the lake and is very narrow in some spots. The trail follows the top of the esker and is well worn by numerous visitors. The stream deposited rocks and sand creating the esker are exposed in many areas, but the esker has a solid stand of larger trees. We are Crazy4! TFTC! |
