This page is for those who love BeamMobile and wanted to help translation it into other languages.
To start, here are what you need:
The localization kit contains the Asuka.rcp file which describes the user interface for BeamMobile and Notes.txt the instructions and tips about translating.
After you've downloaded the localization kit, please read through Notes.txt and take your best effort to translate the quoted text of Asuka.rcp. Once you have finished your first translation, please send me the Asuka.rcp file along with questions you might have. I'll then send back a translated BeamMobile for you to preview. You then do the corrections such as shorten phrases in order to fit them on the screen and you send me back the updated translations. And the process repeats until we are both happy with the results. I'll post the final version on the download section.
There may be several people working on the same language at a time. To resolve the problem, I'll assign a language to the person who first sent me the Asuka.rcp file. So it's first come first served. The assigned languages at the moment:

The following terms and conditions govern the rights and responsibilities about the localized version. The word "translated text" below limited to the language you used for the translation. The author (Alvin Mok): - own the full copyright on localized versions of BeamMobile - will build the localized version with no alteration to your translated text - will maintain the code and responsible for issues other than the translated text - will forward all issues regarding the translated text to you - will give credit to you on the BeamMobile web page: e.g.: your name with email/web link next to the localizated version that you have helped - have the right remove the localized version from distribution without prior notice in case of legal or court orders - own the right of assigning the localization tasks - will not make any profit on the localized work you have helped with - reserve the right to discontinue the distribution of some or all versions of BeamMobile - reserve the right to make amendments to the terms and conditions without prior notice You: - will maintain the translated text you made - are responsible for issues regarding to the text you have translated - may remove yourself from updating the translation for future versions by notifying meUpdated: Jan 22, 2003
