My Productions

My Bedroom / Studio

Ever since I was a child I dabbled with music. My fascination with both music and technology lead me to become interested in DJ'ing and sampling. Check out some of my creations below. All are in MP3 format.

Equipment present: Technics 1210MKII with an Ortofon Arkiv OM (for sampling, ripping, and listening) and a Shure M44-7 (strictly for scratching), 2 Pioneer CDJ-800s, Vestax PMC-05 Pro III mixer, Vestax Handy Trax, Boss RE-20 (Space Echo), Korg Kaossilator, Casio VL-1 keyboard, circuit bent Casio RZ-1 sampling drum machine, Oberheim DX drum machine, Boss DR-202 groovebox, PowerMac, PreSonus Firebox, Akai MPC-500, E-Mu Drumulator, Beringer Xenyx 1202FX, and of course, tons of vinyl.

Crazy - Remix of the song performed by Gnarls Barkley

Cre-A-Tine - A remix of Atlanta rapper Cool Breeze's single.

Cuff Links - Another track with my man Prospect J.

We Keep Running (Featuring Prospect J)

Make It Clear (Featuring Humble Just)

BBQ Conspiracy

Passin' Me By (Legendary Remix) - A remix of a Pharcyde's quintessential record

Tears

Born 2 Live - A remix of OC's 1994 single.

One Love (Gusty Remix) - A remix of the Nas classic

It Ain't Hard to Tell (Onetime Mix) - A remix of Nas's debut single in 1994 (or was it 1993?)

Don't Walk Away (Haroon's Funky Remix) - An early 90s R&B hit by Jade remixed

Just Smile (And Enjoy Yourself) - A reworking of Ramsey Lewis' "Les Fleur" partially in tribute to Gang Starr's "Jazz Music." The Ramsey Lewis version of this song has always been a favorite of mine and I needed a mix of the song that included just my favorite parts (in true Hip-Hop style)

The Bizness (Haroon's Heritage Remix) - The debut single from De La Soul's "Stakes is High" LP featuring a then, still underground Common.

Back in the Day (Haroon's Remix) - A remix of Ahmad's early 90s hit

Martah (Haroon's Hip-Hop Remix) - A Hip-Hop Remix of Saudi Singer Abdul-Majeed Abdallah's "Martah."

Free, Uncompressed, Beat Downs - In the past I've used Reason for production; now I'm integrating some hardware into my setup. Here are six beats I made during the first week of owning my MPC-500. This is a 151mb .ZIP file containing six uncompressed WAVs.

Turn Me Out (Haroon's Funky House Remix) - My first attempt at creating a house track. This is a remix of Praxis' "Turn Me Out" featuring Kathy Brown.

Alright (Haroon's Hip-House Throwback Remix) - A remix of the 1989 Janet Jackson release "Alright" done in a early 90s Hip-House fashion.

How Many MCs Must Get Dissed (The Turkish Drum & Bass Remix) - Turkish folk music meets drum and bass and Black Moon.

U Can't Stop Me Now (Haroon's House Remix) - My house remix of RZA's "U Can't Stop Me Now."
