After a Saturday of railfanning, we returned to the area near the Amtrak station to have lunch at the Gandy Dancer restaurant.

The Gandy Dancer is located in the former Michigan Central Depot and is well known for its excellent food. Many elements of the former railroad heritage are evident throughout the restaurant.

The twin waiting rooms were converted by the restaurant into a bar area and a dining area.

Railroad Artifacts adorn the walls. Can you spot the error?

And, of course, the food was excellent.

But the real attraction of the place is the trackside seating...and if you eat around noon...
