Wow. Suffering underdeadlines. And yet still finding rest, enough to get through another day. And still able to see life and love here and there. i have been amazed even in the midst of this trial my creativity sprang out in different directions. Here in an excerpt from a response to an email sent to me by Aaron Luttrell. You can see part of his email in the Imaginarium Fellowship. Thank you Aaron for drawing it out of me. ...i wish i could return [to Dreamland], i long to return... but the evil mongrol DeathLine has got me suffering under his heinous powers, demanding rediculous amounts of work in unrealistic timeframes. HIs cohort, Pestilence seems to have his icy fingers clinging to my brainstem, waiting for DeathLine to move on to another victim, so he can move in to devour me. See you all in Dreamland. }} GunDove Music Contest unofficial music creation collaboration contest A song in two parts. The topic... WAR VS PEACE VS WAR Follow the directives given at the link above. Or follow the links below to download song parts. Graciously provided by Seth Jacquay, who contributed a stunning 18 loop-parts. He brought a vast array of diversity to the contest with sounds from the likes of John Wayne movies to retro Sci-fi samples, heavenly harps to grungy guitars from the underworld. Or you can always browse posts for your favorite Gun Dove Loops. DEADLINE EXTENSION Due to the fact that no one posted any songs, and i myself found this project a paticular challenge, as well as having heinous deadlines i have been working under, i thought it wise to extend the deadline two weeks. You now have til May 14 to compose a song from the song parts listed above. You may also add two additional tracks of your liking, an instrumental track and a vocal track. All other elements must be made from the other GunDove parts. Songs will be judged by the following elements and awarded up to 10 stars for each category: Concept, Creativity, Performance and Production. Happy Creating! |

}} Lost in Dreamland Excerpt from an email by Aaron Luttrell, describing the dream that is fashioning his next album, a work in progress. ... For the first time since I drifted off, I find a character I have not met, but that I instantly am intrigued by. Io is like a phoenix rising out of the dark world of subconscious murk. From there, I wonder into a desert plane full of mirrors, reflecting in each something different...for miles. And, just as I reach the edge of the desert, I watch enthusiastically as a sandstorm brews on the horizon. My dream bursts open with countless grains of imagery, rushing like waves over the dry landscape...healing it, bringing life to it. When I feel like the ecstasy of sense and romantic endeavor could be no more, I fall into another plane of consciousness: ... |
