Overwhelmed. Tired-sick. What would make us carry on? How is it that this life within us, calls for us to continue in the midst of such hostility. The war of the world desires to cut us down. The war of relations would isolate us to self-made-solitary. The war of the soul butchers the body, wishing to fling from us the fat and refuse. Were there no hope, we would be lost. Yet, there is a spark in the heart, hot enough to set the whole world on fire. Pushed and pressed, but by wood and straw. Punched and clamped, but with fists of flesh and shackels of tin.
