I began painting in 1994 when an inner voice called to me, growing louder and louder, becoming impossible to ignore. I have been painting ever since.  My art is an abstract expression of my life, both in its particulars and as it relates to universal truths. 
 
My exhibitions include: "A Celebration of the Arts" (GISA and the Life Enrichment Center in Newport News, Virginia) and "Spiritual Art" (a juried art show at the Heritage Center in Virginia Beach, Virginia).  I work primarily with acrylic on canvas but have also drawn a collection of Mandalas in oil pastels.
 
I would like to thank my husband Paul Ulmer for supporting my artistic endeavors and for his gentle but persistent urging to get my web site up and running.  Also, my best friend, Kelly Callan (President of Avebury Records, www.aveburyrecords.com) has been a constant source of encouragement to launch my art into the world.
