Hey there! Name's Alex, AKA TheDaftMonk. I'm a 21 year-old student at Vancouver Island University, currently working towards a Digital Media Studies Major and a Liberal Studies Minor. I find myself quickly becoming addicted to designing webpages, but I enjoy the coding aspect as well.
As for this website, you're looking at the "final" version of my Term Project for DIGI 220, a music review site that focuses on albums and specifically how it feels to listen to them. It has been coded and designed entirely by myself, with the exceptions of the leather band I'm using for my header, and that ribbon you see up there on the upper right. It travels here from Premium Pixels.
I see albums as worlds unto themselves; landscapes of sound that speak a language of evocative animism for the listener to interpret as they will. This website will apply that belief in the form of written analysis along with mixed media additions such as images and links (other media coming later).
