Hexatonic Scales - Continued

More on the Tritone Scales

In an attempt to become more acclimated to the scales from my last post, I've put together a few quick studies. Most are self explanatory - usually alternating fragments of the respective minor or major chords. Example 5 on Tritone Major page is just a reminder to try various rhythmic devices with the interval patterns.

Curious Stuff

• the intervallic structures of the TM and Tm scales are palindromic.

• the six notes outside of the TM is a Tm scale one whole step away:
C - C# - d - d# - E - f - F# - G - g# - a - A# - b - c'

• consider using the two scales above for a II7 - V7 progression: Dm6/Abm6 (G9/Db9 substitution) to C7/F#7. Instant chromaticism.
