This "seresta" is from the pen of Vinicius De Moraes -- author of the stage play Orfeu De Conceicao from which the famous movie Orfeu Negro was subsequently adapted. Named for Orpheus' love interest, the idyllic theme is certainly fitting but never included on cast or soundtrack recordings. Fortunately, it has been recorded on numerous occasions by BP. This transcription is from a version first released on Poema on Guitar [MPS, Germany, 11/11/67] and later on Canto on Guitar and Baden Powell Three Originals (none currently available). Also, an alternate introduction from Seresta Brasileira [milestone, 1991] is included here.
