In a statement on April 12th, Apple said that its' work on the iPhone has taken some people from the OS X team and that this will lead to a delay in the release of Leopard (Mac OS 10.5). How long of a delay? Well it looks like the rumors were true and that the delay will set Leopard back to October. Ouch? Well just look at it this way, the current builds of Leopard are still showing bugs abound, so at least they aren't rushing things. On the other hand, most folks buy new machines in the summer and it will be a hassle to pay for an upgraded OS come October. One thing is for sure though, the iPhone - not to mention devices such as Apple TV - are taking the forefront on Apple's product lineup for the time being.
