VIAGGI E FOTOGRAFIA Vent'anni fa ho iniziato ad esplorare le regioni più remote e discoste dell'Asia cercando soprattutto di entrare in contatto con popolazioni appartenenti ad altre culture. Qualche volta sono partita con amici, altre volte da sola. A volte utilizzando mezzi di trasporto locali, altre viaggiando a piedi o in bicicletta. Viaggiando in bicicletta ho imparato ad non avere fretta, a coltivare lo spirito di adattamento ma specialmente ad essere attenta e captare quello che c'era intorno a me. Da qualunque viaggio c'è sempre qualcosa da imparare, che si parta per un giorno o per un anno. La fotografia mi consente non solo di registrare le mie sensazioni ma anche di stimolare la mia curiosità verso quello che viene definito diverso dalla nostra cultura. Così la fotografia nei miei viaggi è diventata un elemento indispensabile. Le immagini che sento più vicine sono quelle della gente e degli spazi selvaggi. L'elemento che cerco di sfruttare al meglio nelle mie foto è la luce: spesso resto seduta per ore a guardare un paesaggio aspettando che la luce trasformi una banale fotografia in qualcosa di meraviglioso. TRAVELS AND PHOTOGRAPHY I was born in Lugano and I've studied as graphic designer. Now I'm working as a freelance photographer. I am specialized in Asian countries. I love the wilderness that's a long way from a road. During my travel I'd like to find wild places especially in moutainous areas particularly on remote corners of Asia. I like to record the life of minority people who keep stronger the cultural and social traditions. My time with the native people was powerful, intense. Through my images, I hope to evoke a passion for travel, the environment and people and their customs, traditions and spirituality, sharing with the world their beauty and their importance. I've done the last travels by mountain bike : is a wonderful way to enter in the landscape and know local people.
