MERIDA OF YUCATAN, CITY OF SCULPTURE

For this reason well be actively involved in recommending and supporting the exhibits of well-known and young artists who are dedicated to monumental sculptures intended to be exhibited in open spaces. With the invaluable help of the American Embassy, our goal is to further join our two countries through this marvelous mean of expression: art.
The sculptures will be exhibited for ten months on Paseo de Montejo, the majestic main avenue of Merida, They will be enjoyed and admired by locals as well as about one and a half million tourists annually from Mexico and all over the world
The logistics of packing and two way transporting, insurance, display, lighting, scenography, and all technical related issues, are supervised by Prof. Silvia Madrid Sánchez, (coordinacion@macay.org).
