We then saw feeding time.  Here Beth is watching a tank of puffer fish and gobies being feed.  We then went on the penguin walk from the Kangaroo Island Marine Centre in Kingscote. They run a very nice facility and the staff are very knowledgeable. We were able to see and hear a lot of penguins.  The next day we went Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery.  They had an enclosure with an emu nest, a recently hatched chick and the father.

Here are father and chick.  We then saw the process of creating eucalyptus oil.  And, there was the obligatory orphaned joey hanging in a sack at the entrance.

On the way out of the distillery there was a heath goanna (monitor lizard) crossing the road. It was approximately 3.5 feet log.  We then travelled to the Kelly Hill Cave complex.  These are dry caves that formed inside a sand dune.  Very little water is moving inside the caves and therefore they are largely inactive.

At lunch we had barbacued lamb chops and then wandered the grounds where there were more adopted kangaroos and wild koalas.  Next we moved onto remarkable rocks. They are large granite bounders that are perched on a large outcropping.
